What A Week!!!

Yes, what a week we had!!
Last week was very hectic. It was a week full of assessments. We had to work very hard and we will get the reports next Friday, the last day of school for the first term.
Here are a few quotes to motivate us to work hard and have success.

If we can follow those teachings we will be able to succeed and score high marks in our assessments.

Mandarin Sega

We want to share a sega - the Mauritian music - sung by a Sino-Mauritian.

Dr. Mario Ng Kuet Leong, obstetrician-gynecologist by profession was a
guest performer at the 'Chinese Songs Contest' Finals organised by the Mauritius Broadcasting Corporation in December 2011.
This Mauritian Sega in Mandarin was presented for the first time in April 2011, in the context of a cultural exchange programme between China and Mauritius atJiaying University Meizhou China.

In Mauritius there is only a small percentage of Chinese who have come mostly from the Guandong province, from Meixian.

We hope you enjoy this and learn to dance to the music.

Flag Raising Ceremony

Today we had the flag raising ceremony at school to celebrate the 46th anniversary of our independence and the 22nd anniversary of the Republic.
Here are the words of our National Anthem we sang today:
Glory to thee, Motherland,Glory to thee, Motherland,
O motherland of mine.
Sweet is thy beauty,
Sweet is thy fragrance,
Around thee we gather
As one people,
As one nation,
In peace, justice and liberty.
Beloved country, may God bless thee
For ever and ever.
